A charming two-piece set from The Haldon Group — a pitcher and bowl featuring their Tobacco Leaf design.
Both pieces have ruffled leaf-shaped rims and handles modeled as naturalistically painted burgundy-pink branches. Long green brushstroke leaves with delicate burgundy vein branches are hand painted against creamy white ceramic.
The pitcher pours beautifully and would be at home on a breakfast table, tea tray, or luncheon spread. The handled basket bowl is equally versatile, perfect for jam, cream, nuts, condiments, or small blooms as a bud vase. Together they make a complete and cohesive set that photographs beautifully.
Details
• Pitcher: ~7" tall × 6" across opening (8" including handle) · holds ~2 cups
• Basket Bowl: ~7" across × 7" tall · holds ~1 cup
• Maker's mark: "the haldon group © 1988" + blue "Made in Japan" foil label on pitcher base
• Condition: Excellent vintage — no chips, cracks, or repairs on either piece
The Haldon Group is a beloved American ceramics company known for their whimsical hand-painted majolica-style pieces produced in Japan throughout the 1980s and 90s.
A perfect fit for cottagecore, French country, English country, or maximalist botanical aesthetics.
