The Loch Aerie Mansion in Chester County, Pennsylvania, is a historic Italianate Gothic Revival mansion built in 1865. The mansion's imposing Italianate and Victorian Gothic design has long made it a local focal point for ghost stories and urban legends.

Built by wealthy businessman William E. Lockwood, the estate was so massive and isolated that Lockwood installed elaborate, ahead-of-their-time burglar alarms and hired private guards to ward off vagabonds and "tramps". Local stories often romanticize the spirits of the old estate as remnants of the Lockwood family or trespassers from the 19th century.

The property's grittiest, most real-world violent history occurred in the 1970s when the mansion was reportedly rented out or used as a clubhouse by the Warlocks motorcycle gang. Shootouts involving rival gangs and police left visible bullet holes in the plaster, adding a dark, tangible edge to its shadowy local reputation.
